Brighton & Hove Hockey Club will be entering mixed seven-a-side teams in the popular Penguin Hockey Festival at the end of May. BHHC attended last year with the feedback really positive and given the festival is at Worthing Rugby Club in Angmering it's a great local one for the club to participate in.
BHHC mixed co-ordinator Andrew Bromley says: "We already have plenty of BHHC players interested and signed up but there's no cap to how many of us can attend (the only stipulation is that players must be at least 18). Tickets are on sale already (see the link below or via the QR code on the flyer) with the discounted Early Bird tickets finishing in early March (before general sale). If anyone has any queries, they can drop me a line at andrewbromley5@gmail.com
"Penguin Hockey Festival was for some years the biggest in the world, with the peak being in the early 2000s where more than 120 11-a-side teams entered. As the flyer suggests it's the 50th anniversary of the Festival and likely to be the biggest for some years.
"Be prepared for plenty of mixed hockey, camping, partying, a masked ball and the odd beer or two!"
