Brighton & Hove Hockey Club acknowledges the recent policy changes announced by England Hockey regarding transgender and non-binary inclusion in the sport. We recognise that this may have a significant impact on some of our members and we want to assure everyone in our community that we are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

At this stage we are undertaking a consultation with those directly affected by the changes - which will come into effect next season on September 1 2025 - to understand their concerns and ensure their voices are heard. We appreciate that this is a sensitive and personal issue and we encourage any members who wish to share their thoughts or seek support to contact us directly at bhhc.welfarelead@gmail.com

Our priority remains the wellbeing and inclusion of all our players and we will provide further updates once we have engaged fully with those impacted.
